Boosh Plant-Based Brands (VEGI) will introduce two new frozen bowls and one refrigerated item in the first quarter of 2022.

The two new frozen entrees include the “heat n’ eat” Boosh Breakfast Bowl and Buddha Bowl.

Ingredients for the breakfast bowl include potato vegetable hash, vegan sausage crumble, and scrambled tofu “eggs.”

Buddha Bowl ingredients include Boosh’s proprietary non-GMO organic rice blend with a miso tahini sauce, a variety of fresh and roasted veggies, fresh edamame, and lupin bean grits.

“Lupin beans are the latest craze in plant-based eating because they have about a third more protein per square inch than many other beans and legumes,” commented Boosh founder and president Connie Marples.

The new refrigerated item is Sweet n’ Sour “Chicken,” which the company suggests should be served over rice or noodles. The vegan “chicken” is locally sourced and made to taste and look like dark chicken meat.

“At any given time, we have approximately twenty different items in various stages of experimentation,” remarked Ms. Marples. “We are constantly analyzing the marketplace to anticipate what consumers will want next.”

Boosh currently offers 24 plant-based products, including frozen and refrigerated meals, that are sold across the country.

“We want to make it easy for people to transition to a more plant-based diet,” Ms. Marples concluded, “and as a result we’ll continue to add to our growing line of innovative, healthy family-oriented plant-based meals.”

Boosh is a plant-based food company that sells plant-based frozen meals to grocery outlets and independent grocery stores throughout Canada.

Shares in Boosh Plant-Based Brands (VEGI) are down 5.94 per cent, trading at $0.95 per share as of 10:02 pm EST.
