Manitou Gold (MTU) has begun drilling of key targets on its Baltimore deformation zone (BDZ), and results from the Bald Eagle gold zone (BEZ).

Both zones are a part of the company’s Goudreau Project in northeastern Ontario.

Manitou Gold has been issued a water crossing permit allowing new access to its key target area in the BDZ.

The needed drill rig is on-site, and the company is expecting to begin drilling next week.

Significant gold mineralization was intersected at the BEZ which returned 3.4g/tAu over 2.5 metres in a wider interval of 27.9 metres at 0.6 g/tAu.

Richard Murphy, President and CEO of Manitou Gold, stated,

“These drill targets were derived from the multi-million-dollar geotechnical programs completed over a 10-kilometre length of the BDZ in 2021.”

Manitou Gold was recently issued a permit to construct a bridge to create access to several key targets on the BDZ.

Bridge construction is nearly complete, and the drill rig has been moved into the target area.

Manitou Gold is expecting to begin drilling next week.

The permit allows access to its key target areas between the triple junction of the Easy Lake, Harcourt, and Meath Lake intrusion on the BDZ grid.

This area has never been drilled for gold.

Gold mineralization at the BEGZ was initially identified during a surface program in the late summer of 2021.

It returned up to 74.7 g/t Au from outcrops in the northeastern portion of the Goudreau project area.

The surface program was followed up with a six-hole, 33 line-kilometre survey.

Manitou Gold Inc. (MTU) is unchanged trading at $0.06 per share as of 3:17 p.m. EST.
