C3 Metals (CCCM) has announced that its 2022 exploration program at the Jasperoide Project is now underway.

The Jasperoide Project is located in southern Peru.

As part of the exploration program, C3 has completed a Hybrid Controlled Source Audio-Magnetotelluric (Hybrid CSAMT) survey over the Montaña de Cobre and Cresta Verde zones. This survey identified probable feeder structures linked to a potential causative copper-gold porphyry system at depth.

“This trial survey has been immensely successful at delineating deep-seated, large-scale feeder structures at Jasperoide,” said C3 Vice President of Exploration Steve Hughes.

The Hybrid CSAMT survey has been extended to rapidly cover the entire area permitted for exploration and drilling over the next month, and a second deeper capacity drill rig is being mobilized to test these “compelling” copper-gold porphyry and stacked skarn targets.

The company is expecting to receive a larger drill rig on-site in February to replace the current smaller capacity rig, which will increase C3’s capacity to test the new porphyry targets.

The existing rig will continue drilling on the Montaña de Cobre zone to further extend and evaluate the oxide copper-gold deposit delineated to date until it is changed out.

After drilling is completed at the Montaña de Cobre zone, the rig will be moved to the Cresta Verde zone to test a large feature near the massive sulphides and mineralized skarn intersected in previous drilling.

“Now, with the oversubscribed +$19 million financing recently in hand, we have the treasury to not only expand the known high-grade deposit but to drill for the “elephant,” a potential billion ton porphyry copper deposit,” commented C3 president and CEO Kevin Tomlinson.

C3 Metals is a junior mining company engaged in the identification, acquisition, evaluation, and exploration of mineral properties in Jamaica and Canada.

Shares in C3 Metals Inc. (CCCM) are steady, trading at $0.145 per share as of 11:30 am EST.
