EMX Royalty (EMX) subsidiary Bullion Monarch Mining has settled its litigation with Barrick Gold (ABX).

The litigation concerned Bullion’s claim that Barrick affiliates and subsidiaries failed to pay production royalties from properties in Nevada’s Carlin Trend.

Barrick will pay Bullion US$25M.

Bullion initiated the case in 2008 before EMX acquired it in 2012.

The settlement does not affect EMX’s 1-per-cent gross smelter return royalty from portions of Nevada Gold Mine’s Leeville, Turf and other underground gold mining operations.

EMX Royalty is a precious, base and battery metals royalty company.

EMX (EMX) is up by 1.32 per cent trading at $3.05 per share as of 9:55 am EST.
