Ascendant Resources (ASND) has closed the final tranche of its non-brokered private placement for gross proceeds of $3,512,000.

The company issued a total of 17,560,000 common shares priced at $0.20 per share.

In the second tranche, the company issued 3,143,107 common shares for gross proceeds of $628,621.40. 

Net proceeds from the offering will be used to advance the Lagoa Salgada project and general corporate purposes.

The company paid finder’s fees totalling C$28,000.

Securities issued are subject to a four-month hold period. 

Ascendant is a Canada-based mining company focused on exploring and developing the Lagoa Salgada VMS project in Portugal.

Ascendant Resources Inc. (ASND) opened trading at C$0.225.
