Canada Jetlines’ (CJET) first flight from Toronto to Winnipeg will take place on August 15, 2022.

The news coincides with an increasing number of passengers flying into Winnipeg’s Richardson International Airport over the past few months as the tourism industry regains its footing.

Travelers can take advantage of special fares for a limited time from Toronto’s Pearson International Airport to Moncton and Winnipeg.

The company’s air service is pending approval from the Canadian Transportation Agency. It recently completed all required demonstration flights for Transport Canada.

“We are thankful to [Winnipeg’s] regional community and airport for their welcoming support,” stated Eddy Doyle, CEO of Canada Jetlines. “We greatly look forward to our first flight to Winnipeg and intend to offer more travel options to the residents of Manitoba soon.”
