Cantex Mine Development Corp. (CD) has provided a drilling update from the main zone at its North Rackla claim block in the Yukon.

The company stated a 27.7-metre zone of semi-massive to massive sulphides was intersected in hole YKDD22-246 at the northeast end of the main zone.

Hole YKDD22-246 was drilled from the same pad MZ 52 and at the same 145-degree azimuth as hole YKDD22-239. The company previously reported that hole YKDD22-239 was drilled at a negative 45-degree dip and contained a 7.50 metre massive to disseminated sulphide intersection.

According to Cantex, the semi-massive to massive sulphides in hole YKDD22-246 are zinc and lead sulphides.

The 27.7-metre intersection occurred between 51 and 69 metres from the surface. A minor amount of copper-iron sulphide was also intersected with massive lead-zinc sulphides from 90.70 to 91.40 metres.

The two intersections from pad MZ 52 in the northeast have extended the main zone to 2.15 kilometres. Cantex stated it has started drilling at a negative 80-degree dip below the intersections, and a second drill has stepped out further northeast along strike.

The company reported the core has been split and is being shipped to Kelowna for sample preparation before being sent to Vancouver for analysis.
