TriStar Gold (TSG) announced the appointment of Marcus Brewster as Chief Operating Officer of the company.

Brewster is a geologist and mining engineer with specific experience in technical and managerial positions operating large-scale paleo placer gold mines. This includes senior roles at the Tarkwa mine and Damang Gold Mines in Ghana. He ultimately became the General Manager at Damang. He was also the General Manager and Chief Operating Officer of several other gold mines.

Nick Appleyard, CEO of TriStar, commented on the appointment.

“I am incredibly excited for Marcus to be joining the team at TriStar. His experience with similar deposits to Castelo de Sonhos at Tarkwa and Damang is exceptional. It is exactly what we need to progress through permitting, final feasibility and into construction and operations.”

Brewster has a BSc (Honours) in Geology and Environmental Geography from the University College of Brunel. He also has an MSc in Mining Geology from Camborne School of Mines and an MSc in Mining Engineering (Merit) from Camborne School of Mines.
