Tippett Studio has selected AMPD Ventures (AMPD) to power its North American expansion.

Tippett is a visual effects company based in California specializing in CGI for films and television commercials. It has earned an Academy Award, four Clio Awards and two Emmy Awards for its work.

AMPD Virtual Studio – subsidiary AMPD Technologies’ high-performance cloud-based digital content creation platform – will offer Tippett a greener, more flexible and more cost-effective alternative compared with on-premise workstations and standard cloud services.

Tippett announced its Canadian expansion in May 2022 with its first satellite office and post-production studio in Toronto. The facility will serve clients such as Lucasfilm, Showtime, AMC, Disney, Amazon and Marvel Studios.

“Securing an industry leader such as Tippett Studio as an AMPD Virtual Studio customer represents major validation to the entire VFX market as to the viability and overall strength of our Virtual Studio solution,” stated Anthony Brown, CEO at AMPD Ventures.

AMPD Technologies is an infrastructure company specializing in high-performance computing solutions for low-latency applications.

AMPD Ventures offers a suite of tools and technologies to create and distribute next-generation digital content.

AMPD Ventures (AMPD) is up by 20 per cent, trading at $0.15 per share as of 11:17 am EST.
