Baselode (FIND) has mobilized a field crew for initial drilling at the Catharsis Uranium Project.

The project, located in Saskatchewan’s Athabasca Basin, is on geological strike with the world’s largest and most productive high-grade uranium district, the Wollaston and Mudjatik domains, where over 2 billion lbs. of uranium oxide have been discovered.

Catharsis features a target area comprised of a 7 km structural system with important trap mechanisms required for the precipitation of uranium.

The company is planning for a 2,000 m drill program over 8 drill holes in 4 collar locations beginning in late January. Drill hole depth will range between 200 and 300 m.

“The primary drill target has overlapping geophysical anomalies characteristic of many Athabasca uranium deposits, including a prominent gravity-low feature coincident with electromagnetic conductor breaks and bends,” stated James Sykes, Baselode’s President and CEO.

“This target area shares interpreted geophysical and structural similarities with Fission Uranium’s Triple R and NexGen Energy’s Arrow high-grade uranium deposits of the Patterson Lake corridor in the southwest Athabasca,” he added.

Baselode Energy controls a 238,850-ha exploration land package in Saskatchewan’s Athabasca Basin. The land is free of royalties or option agreements.

Baselode (FIND) is up by 13.98 per cent, trading at $0.53 per share as of 10:36 am EST.
