In addition to known nickel, Flying Nickel Mining (FLYN) has now discovered platinum, palladium and gold at its Minago Nickel PGM Project.

The wholly-owned property is located in Manitoba’s Thompson Nickel Belt.

The current drill core assay program returned 26.34 metres grading 0.608 grams per tonne of platinum, palladium and gold.

The company believes the results further confirm significant platinum and palladium intersections throughout project’s Nose Deposit.

Assay results come from 216 samples totalling 247 metres from four drill holes.

The Vancouver-based mineral explorer previously reported 1.13 percent nickel on the project.

The company is currently trying to develop a maiden PGM resource estimate for the project.

It has so far received and released assay results for 2,082 samples totalling 2,437 metres from 31 holes since the program began in January 2023. The company remains on schedule to receive and publish remaining assay results of approximately 1,604 metres from 16 holes next month.

The Minago Project has an existing Mineral Resource Estimate. The property currently has a measured and indicated resource of 44.2 million tonnes grading 0.74 percent nickel.

Flying Nickel Mining (TSXV:FLYN) is up 3.13 percent, trading at $0.16 at 9:31 am ET.
