Greenway Greenhouse Cannabis (CSE:GWA) revealed Friday that it has received CUMCS-G.A.P and GACP certification for its cultivation facility in Ontario.

CUMCS-G.A.P certification is the global leading certification standard for medical cannabis certification while GACP certification refers to indications needed to obtain good quality medicinal plant materials for the sustainable production of medicines.

In a news release, the company stated that thanks to its newly received accreditation, it is now in discussion with a range of global cannabis purchasers. This includes discussions with current wholesale customers that have established international sales routes, opportunities, and demand.

“We have been talking to companies that export into multiple countries around the world, who are eager to work with us to bring Greenway’s cannabis to the global market,” Jamie D’Alimonte, CEO of Greenway, said in a statement. “With our most recent expansion, we are able to scale up production to meet any new demand for our product internationally. These new sales opportunities should help us increase our revenue, gross margins, and be a key cog in achieving true profitability.”

Friday’s announcement comes after Greenway Greenhouse Cannabis announcing in mid-April that its EPIC Berry Sunset products are now available to purchase in Ontario.

The EPIC (Essex Pelee Island Coast) area we grow and live in provides us a huge advantage, as we get more sun and better temperatures for growing than anywhere else in Canada,” Carl Mastronardi, president of Greenway, said in a statement. “Our location is one of our largest advantages to both our high quality, and low cost in comparison to other producers.”

The company stated that EPIC Berry Sunset is launching in a 7-gram format across Ontario through retail stores and the OCS website.

With headquarters in Kingsville, Ontario, Greenway Greenhouse Cannabis is a federally licensed cultivator.

Shares of Greenway Greenhouse Cannabis Corp. (CSE:GWA) are down 4.41 per cent to C$0.325 as of 10:46 am ET.
