SRQ Resources (TSXV:SRQ) has reported assay results from its Phase 3 drilling program at the Lac Brulé Project in Quebec.

In a news release, the company stated results come from the new Lac Brulé Ultramafic Magmatic Intrusive Complex study found on the Gossan Zone.

Drilling included 3,015 metres across 10 holes at the Gossan Zone and one hole, LB-24-29, Target 900, was drilled six kilometres west of the Gossan Zone.

“The latest drilling results from the Gossan Zone, together with the remarkable magnitude of the surface extension of the magmatic intrusive complex associated with the Target 900, are highly significant for SRQ,” Marc-Antoine Audet, CEO of SRQ Resources, said in a statement. “We are very encouraged with the discovery of extensive magmatic units at surface including numerous pyroxenite units, highlighting the sector’s nickel and copper prospectivity.”

Other highlights from the program include ongoing surface regional geological mapping, which outlined a very large magmatic intrusive complex that appears to be deeply rooted. Additionally, an analysis of the geological sequences and mineralization indicated the Lac Brulé nickel-copper mineralization bears similarities to the former Renzy nickel-copper mine.

Case in point, the company stated it has compared the geological sequence and the associated mineralization at the Lac Brulé and the historic Renzy nickel-copper mine. Detailed petrological and mineralogical investigations confirmed the presence, at both sites, of several pyroxenite and peridotite sequences impregnated with disseminated to semi-massive mineralization of pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite and pentlandite.

SRQ Resources is a Montreal-based company exploring for nickel, copper and platinum in Québec. The company holds exploration mining properties in Quebec with its flagship project being the Lac Brulé Nickel-Copper-platinum group elements project.
