The Consumer Electronics Show is in full swing as companies show off new products to wholesalers and distributors, many of which have wide implications.

While Nintendo (OTC:NTDOY) has tried to keep details of its “Switch successor”, or “Switch2” quiet until the company is ready to unveil the system on its terms, a video claiming to show the console from the tech trade event has leaked online.

Genki has released several Nintendo Switch products and the company had a presence at the event showing off its products planned for the new system.

The team showed off a 3D-printed mock-up of the size and scale of the new Nintendo console likely inside of a new case they are selling. The video shows how the new magnetic joycon controllers detach and re-attach to the console. It is also notable that a red sensor light can be seen on the side of the controller. Rumors persist that the controller could double as a mouse.

The video also features a tempered glass screen protector “for Switch2” from Jsaux with a clear picture depicting the incoming console.

While no official word has come from Nintendo about its successor, these companies likely had to use dimensions and specs from somewhere to produce something to design accessories and peripherals for.

Rumors and leaks about the new console have been circulating, with third-party accessory makers already designing cases based on purported measurements late last year. This buzz has only added to the excitement and speculation surrounding Nintendo’s next big move. Many believe a March 2025 release window, though an announcement is expected any time.

More manufacturers and companies are set to unveil products for this console in the days and weeks ahead before Nintendo finally shows off its new console for real. The CES is on for two more days, who knows what more could be in store.

With headquarters in Kyoto, Japan Nintendo Co., Ltd. is a multinational video game company that develops, publishes and releases video games and video game consoles.

Nintendo stock (OTC:NTDOY) opened Wednesday at US$14.10 on the OTC market.
