Cognitive computing company Verses AI Inc. (CBOE:VERS), announced that its chief scientist, Karl Friston, along with members of their senior leadership team, will be attending the World Economic Forum 2025 annual meeting.

The World Economic Forum is an independent international that works to engage business, political, academic, and other leaders of society to shape global, regional, and industry agendas. The annual meeting is where influential leaders gather to discuss and address pressing global issues. The event will take place from January 20-24th in Davos, Switzerland.

During the event, Verses AI plans to release an update on its work with the Atari 10K Challenge. Preliminary results have shown that Verses’ active inference-based models can achieve comparable or better performance than current state-of-the-art reinforcement learning models while using 90 per cent less data (10k frames) and a fraction of the compute. The update will include results and video demonstrations of Verses’ models meeting or exceeding human-level performance on multiple Atari games.

The Atari 100K Challenge, introduced in 2015, involves creating a single artificial intelligence model capable of being trained to meet or beat human-level performance on a pool of up to 26 classic Atari (OTC Pink:PONGF) video games. The AI model must learn directly from pixel data, using only the score as a reward signal. Verses’ leadership will provide broader context around benchmarking and showcase early results in comparison with other AI models.

Specializing in biologically inspired distributed intelligence, Verses AI is focused on developing next-generation artificial intelligence solutions, including the Genius platform.

Verses AI stock (CBOE:VERS) opened trading at C$1.87.
