NeoTerrex (TSXV:NTX) released new assay results from its 2025 summer exploration program at its Revolver rare earths project in Quebec’s Saguenay region, yielding a highlight grab sample of 12.87 per cent total rare earth oxides (TREO), representing one of the highest grades in Quebec history. The grab sample in question also hit 2.10 per cent neodymium oxide, 0.40 per cent praseodymium oxide, 0.44 per cent dysprosium oxide and 0.32 per cent erbium oxide.

Rare earth elements are used in permanent magnets that enhance the performance and durability of electric vehicles, wind turbines and mission-critical defense technologies. China, the world’s top producer and refiner, currently has export controls in place, incentivizing nations across the world to partner with prospective miners, secure domestic supply and reinforce national security.

The program, which included reconnaissance prospecting, detailed geological mapping and systematic sampling at the ~4,644 hectare-project, delivered five samples returning more than 1 per cent TREO covering a 400 m by 100 m mineralized area, extending previously known zones to Revolver’s west.

NeoTerrex has taken 49 grab samples to date to substantiate geological features and regional magnetic and radiometric anomalies that suggest the presence of a district-scale rare earth elements system.

Planned mechanical stripping and trenching will follow, complementing ongoing mineralogical and metallurgical test work, to remove overburden cover and help field crews better understand the nature of Revolver’s mineralization in preparation for initial drilling.

Management commentary

“We are very pleased with the results from our ongoing exploration at the project, particularly within the western portion of the project, where the 12.87 per cent TREO sample ranks among the highest rare-earth grades reported in Quebec according to government databases (Sigeom),” Mathieu Stephens, president and chief executive officer of NeoTerrex, said in Friday’s news release. “We are also encouraged that the mineralization not only includes significant neodymium oxide but also dysprosium oxide, a heavy rare earth, and all hosted in monazite — a mineral known for its favorable metallurgical properties for rare-earth extraction.”
