Forge Resources also said Newlands is the founder, chief executive officer, and a director of Everkind Wellness Inc. (TSXV: EK), which it described as an artificial intelligence company focused on health and well-being solutions. The release added that his background includes roles at MacNicol & Associates, Fire & Flower, Hypercharge Networks, and advisory work with Taiga Motors.

In a statement included in the release, Forge Resources chief executive officer PJ Murphy said Newlands’ experience would add depth to the board as the company advances its “near-term revenue coal project in Colombia” and works to develop its Yukon gold-copper project.

On Neal’s departure, Forge Resources said management thanked him for his contributions and wished him well.

In the same announcement, Forge Resources described itself as a junior exploration company focused on the Alotta project, a porphyry copper-gold-molybdenum project in Yukon Territory. It also said it holds an 80% interest in Aion Mining Corp., which is developing the fully permitted La Estrella coal project in Santander, Colombia, which the company said contains eight known seams of metallurgical and thermal coal.
