Military-grade technology company A2Z Technologies (TSXV: AZ) recently had their Fuel Tank Intelligent Containment System shown on Israeli TV.

Kan 11, a nationwide TV news network in Israel, broadcast a segment covering the Fuel Tank Intelligent Containment System, or FTICS (patent pending).

The news segment bemoaned the country’s unfortunate statistic of 3,000 vehicular fires per annum. It then went on to offer up A2Z’s FTICS technology as a possible solution to the problem.

The life-saving technology can stop a car’s gas tank from exploding in a collision. As such, the Or Yarok Association for Safer Driving in Israel has strongly endorsed it.

Oz Dror, Vice President of Strategy and Communications at the Or Yarok Association, expressed the dire need for such innovation. “At an accident, every second is critical. […] The state has to demand that new vehicles entering the market must install these systems, as this will prevent loss of lives.”

The appropriate bodies have already received recommendations that installing A2Z’s FTICS technology in new vehicles should be mandatory.

A2Z CEO Bentsur Joseph welcomed the news, commenting on what this could mean for the company. “While the FTICS will be available for retrofit for any fuel tank, having our system become mandatory represents an astounding opportunity for our company, which we will aggressively pursue.”

“In addition to the 3.5 million civilian vehicles currently registered on the road, in 2018 over 250,000 new vehicles entered the market in Israel. […] We look forward to bringing this life-saving technology to civilians across Israel, as a stepping-stone to additional markets.”

A2Z Technologies Canada Corp.’s share price currently sits at 0.80, having gone up by 0.08 points (11.11%).
