ARHT Media (ART) has supplied its HoloPresence Technology to a Chinese joint venture between NetDragon Websoft Holdings and China Unicom.

Last week the joint venture announced the launch of its New Infrastructure 5G+Smart Education Application Demonstration Project.

NetDragon and China Unicom Fujian Branch will integrate resources in smart education and 5G infrastructure to explore the application of 5G in remote education, smart classrooms and campus security.

The companies intend to build 5G educational infrastructure in 100 schools in Fujian Province with over 1,000 smart/online classes servicing more than 10,000 teachers and students by 2022.

The project has the potential to be replicated across the country.

Larry O’Reilly, ARHT’s CEO, commented,

“Over the past two years we have been hired by the China Unicom and NetDragon JV to provide a number of HoloPresence events for government and educational officials in a variety of jurisdictions in China, and since the second half of 2020 they have placed orders for our server and holographic screen technologies for permanent installations at multiple locations.

With this recent endorsement from Fuzhou City we expect orders for additional systems, which generate both upfront and recurring revenues, to increase as the program is rolled out across China.”

NetDragon Websoft Holdings is a leading innovator and a creative force in China’s online gaming and mobile Internet industries.

China Unicom is committed to connecting the world through smart living technology.

ARHT Media makes possible two-way live communication with a 3D holographic presenter anywhere in the world.

ARHT Media (ART) is down by 2.33 per cent and is currently trading at C$0.21 per share as of 9:34 am ET.
