Bombardier (BBD.A) has announced the opening of a new line maintenance station at the Geneva Airport.

Skilled technicians at the new station will provide maintenance services for the Challenger series and Global series of aircraft.

The new station in Geneva will offer customers access to 10,000 square metres of hangar space and is ideally situated adjacent to the business aviation terminal and its handling agents.

Geneva Airport personnel also offer premium services such as hangaring aircraft in clean, temperature-controlled conditions, tire pressure checks, oxygen tank refills, fuel tank drainage, and 24/7 cleaning of aircraft interiors.

Jean-Christophe Gallagher is the Executive Vice President of Services and Support and Corporate Strategy at Bombardier.

“This addition is an integral part of our overall mission to enhance OEM support for our operators in Europe, and we are very pleased to offer our customers turn-key service solutions for aircraft and crew members,” he commented.

The new line maintenance station is Bombardier’s seventh in Europe and tenth across the globe.

The company is advancing a strategy to enhance its worldwide customer service network and is currently on the way to growing its services and support infrastructure by 50 per cent.

The 30 customer response team mobile units around the world are all equipped to support Bombardier’s Learjet, Challenger and Global business aircraft.

Bombardier is a global leader in aviation. The company operates 4,900 aircraft in service in more than 12 countries across the globe.

Bombardier Inc. (BBD.A) opened trading at $1.08 per share.
