The Canadian Securities Exchange (CSE) has released its Performance Figures for February 2023.

Highlights:

  • Trading volume totalled 1.4 billion shares
  • Trading value was $336 million
  • CSE issuers raised $80 million through 78 financings
  • The CSE welcomed listings from 10 new companies, bringing total listed securities to 826

Commentary:

The CSE’s Chief Executive Officer, Richard Carleton noted that the month of February was especially busy for initial public offerings as five of the 10 new listings during the month arrived via IPO.

“On the financing and listing front, mining has been the leader on the exchange so far this year. We were pleased to see so many of our mining issuers at this year’s PDAC conference, where attendance was high and investor interest was evident.”

More than 30 CSE issuers hosted booths at this year’s Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) conference In Toronto.

Before PDAC 2023 started, the CSE also hosted two “PreDAC” events, one in Vancouver and the other Toronto, with industry presentations and investor pitches from listed mining companies.
