Colibri Resource Corporation (CBI) confirms assay results of historical high grade gold samples. Including a high of 12.3 grams per tonne Au.

The Canadian-based mineral exploration company put together a due diligence sampling and mapping program.

There were 25 grab samples with values of 1.0 grams per tonne of gold. Numbers also included six with more than 5 grams per tonne of gold.

The Plomo is in Sonora, Mexico and covers 4,260 hectares and is adjacent to its Evelyn Gold project.

The Evelyn-Plomo Gold project is one of Mexico’s largest gold producers producing roughly 636,000 ounces Au and 53,000,000 ounces Ag in 2022.

COO of Colibri, Ian McGavney, is thrilled about the new finds. “We continue to be enthusiastic about the Plomo acquisition.”

“We will continue the desk-top work to further evaluate the robust combined data set and will be initiating boot and hammer work in the very short term to support the prioritization of drill targets,” added McGavney.

The next steps going forward for Colibri will be mapping and sampling between San Perfecto and El Sahuaro.

In addition, geological mapping and detailed sampling will evaluate the distribution of tourmaline alteration and its association on the occurrence and distribution of gold.

Colibri holds seven high potential precious metal projects to date, six of which are planned for this year.

Colibri Resource Corporation (CBI) is up 5.56 per cent, trading at C$0.10 at 11:07 EST.
