F3 Uranium (TSXV:FUU) has begun to drill test its Hearty Bay project in the northern portion of the Athabasca basin.

The 2024 winter drill program aims to identify the source of radioactive boulders that have previously sampled up to 8.23 per cent triuranium octoxide (U3O8).

The Kelowna, B.C.-based uranium explorer has welcomed a sonic drill on site to complete the 2,000-metre program, searching for the source of the Isle Brochet radioactive boulders. The drill can sample overburden and bedrock, reaching under the lake on the property.

According to the company, glacially dispersed material along with the recently completed gravity survey provides new, reliable targets for the program that were not tested in previous and historic drill programs.

The Hearty Bay project in Saskatchewan consists of seven claims measuring 111.73 square kilometres in size, a portion of which was staked by F3 from 2017 through to 2019.  Approximately 600 metres to the northeast of the lake bottom a group of radioactive boulders were discovered reported to contain up to 1.4 per cent U3O8

Operating out of Calgary, Traction Uranium Corp. (CSE:TRAC) has a 50 per cent interest in the project, with the option to increase that interest to 70 per cent. In January, the team conducted a winter gravity survey and discovered multiple gravity lows that demonstrate uranium mineralization.

F3 is a uranium project generator and exploration company with 18 projects in the Athabasca Basin.

The junior uranium stock last traded at $0.46 per share. F3 stock is up by 19 per cent year-over-year and has added 342 per cent since 2019.
