element54 and Patterson Langlois conducted a market study with consumers in Québec that rated GURU (GURU) the number one energy drink brand.

“GURU’s mission is to clean up the industry by offering a healthy alternative for consumers in the energy drink category and the results of this study clearly demonstrate that we are fulfilling our mission with the next generation of consumers,” said Carl Goyette, President and Chief Executive Officer of GURU.

“The findings also confirm the strong appeal of our sustainable and differentiated brand, and that our values of being good, natural, authentic, progressive, adventurous, and eco-friendly resonate well with the younger generation, both women and men,” added Goyette.

Nearly 50 per cent of GURU consumers are women compared to just 27 per cent of other energy drink brands. 37 per cent of consumers under 25 years old consider GURU their #1 energy drink brand versus an average of 13 per cent for the other top four brands in Québec.

“Working with leading creative and experiential marketing agencies, and based on these insights, we are eager to accelerate our market share growth across Canada and support our exclusive Canadian distribution agreement with PepsiCo Beverages Canada, effective this fall,” concluded Goyette.
