iFabric (TSX:IFA) announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Intelligent Fabric Technologies (North America) Inc. (IFTNA), is launching a new performance medical apparel scrubs brand, Aura, in partnership with a leading national mass retailer in the United States.

The Aura scrubs collection is being introduced in approximately 400 brick-and-mortar stores across the U.S. and will also be available through the retailer’s e-commerce platform. According to the company, the program could expand to additional locations in the future, depending on consumer demand, sales performance, and the retailer’s ongoing planning processes.

The new product line incorporates two of IFTNA’s proprietary textile technologies: PROTX2, the company’s antimicrobial treatment technology, and ecoPEL, a fluorine-free durable water-repellent technology. iFabric said the combination is designed to provide enhanced performance features for healthcare professionals working in clinical settings.

The company stated that integrating these technologies into the Aura brand broadens access to its textile platform through expanded national retail distribution. The launch is aimed at serving healthcare workers seeking apparel with performance-focused features.

iFabric noted that the Aura rollout marks the third major retail partnership involving its technology-enhanced scrub platform. The company said the relationship extends beyond technology licensing and includes product development, branding, manufacturing, and retail execution.

According to iFabric, the latest partnership reflects growing retailer interest in performance-driven medical apparel and supports IFTNA’s strategy of providing end-to-end solutions for retail partners. The company believes the launch demonstrates its ability to manage multiple aspects of the product lifecycle, from technology integration through to retail distribution.

The Aura launch represents an expansion of IFTNA’s presence in the healthcare apparel market as the company continues to pursue opportunities to commercialize its textile technologies through large-scale retail channels.

“The clinical trial results were a defining moment for IFTNA because they demonstrated that our textile technologies can deliver measurable performance in real healthcare environments,” IFTNA’s President and CEO, Giancarlo Beevis, said in a news release. “With Aura, we are now translating those results into an additional highly-accessible retail program that can reach more healthcare workers where they shop, both in stores and online,
