Intermap Technologies Corporation (IMP) was named a subcontractor for the $950 million U.S. Air Force Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) contract.

The ABMS is designed using cloud environments and new communications methods. This is to allow the U.S. Air Force and Space Force systems to share data using artificial intelligence (AI), thus helping streamline their decision-making process.

ABMS planning is laid out over five years under a multiple-award indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract. Future work will be under individual task orders competed through a process alongside the other selected contractor teams.

Intermap also announced the delivery and acceptance of its interim progress report under its continuing U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) prime contract to develop navigation systems for GPS-denied environments.

A prototype process simulating complete loss of GPS signal update has proven effective and demonstrated navigation accuracy on offset errors using existing data and Intermap’s proprietary interferometric synthetic aperture radar (IFSAR)-derived digital elevation models (DEMs).

AFRL deemed Intermap’s system capable of large 3D target grade coverage in all weather conditions, overcoming a major limitation of other airborne and space platforms.

Intermap Technologies Corp is a global geospatial intelligence company. It offers end-to-end geospatial services to government and commercial markets with patented sensors and processing technology. Its solutions are used for a range of applications, including flood and wildfire insurance, aviation, telecom, renewables, and railway.

Intermap Technologies Corporation (IMP) is up 19.48 per cent and is trading at $0.46 per share as of 1:34 p.m. ET.
