London’s FTSE 100 is nearly flat, down just 0.01%, as investors digest CPI data and shifting currency moves.
Commodities are mixed. Gold is up 1.17%, while copper is also higher as investors maintain exposure to metals. Oil is lower, with WTI down 0.75%, even as broader energy and geopolitical headlines remain active. Natural gas is up more than 1%. Bitcoin is also higher in Canadian-dollar terms, gaining 0.62%, while the loonie strengthens against the U.S. dollar but weakens against the yen and Australian dollar.
