Inturai Ventures (CSE:URAI) has signed a new partnership with VEXSL Global Inc., a veteran‑owned defence and disaster‑response technology company, to accelerate the development and deployment of integrated sensing and coordination systems intended for use in military and high‑risk operational environments.
The companies announced that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to jointly pursue commercial deployment opportunities for technologies designed to support defence organisations operating in contested, complex or rapidly changing conditions. The collaboration brings together Inturai’s spatial intelligence platform—which interprets radio and Wi‑Fi signals to produce real-time environmental insights—and VEXSL’s command, communications and aerial intelligence systems.
According to both organisations, the combined technologies are being developed to assist mission‑critical activities such as Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR), missile strike response coordination and operations within active conflict zones. The companies say the initiative reflects rising global demand for advanced sensing, coordination and intelligence capabilities capable of functioning in environments where traditional surveillance or monitoring equipment may be limited or impractical.
VEXSL’s contribution to the partnership includes DISASTERFIELD, the company’s global multi-user coordination platform designed to unify operational readiness, response and recovery efforts across agencies and frontline teams. The system incorporates communications hardware, UAV intelligence feeds and real-time data analysis to create a shared command environment for mission teams working across multiple locations or operational theatres.
Through the collaboration, Inturai’s discreet sensing technologies are expected to be integrated into VEXSL’s platform, adding additional layers of situational awareness by detecting movement, activity and environmental changes without relying on cameras or conventional sensors. Both firms say these combined capabilities may support use cases such as battlefield monitoring, search‑and‑rescue missions, infrastructure protection and other operational intelligence needs.
VEXSL is led by founder and CEO Cole Fouillard, a Canadian Armed Forces combat veteran with experience in high‑risk and complex operational settings. The company’s leadership team includes veterans and operational specialists with backgrounds in defence operations and disaster response.
In a media statement, the company’s CEO, Ed Clarke, explained that the partnership represents an important step in expanding Inturai’s defence technology capabilities.
“VEXSL brings deep operational expertise and real-world deployment capability, and together, we are well positioned to fast-track mission-critical sensing and coordination systems for defence and national security operations,” he said.
Inturai and VEXSL expect the partnership to support upcoming pilot deployments and operational trials with defence, emergency response and government stakeholders as they work toward broader commercialisation of integrated defence and coordination technologies.
