Nobel Resources (NBLC) is releasing the latest results from its ongoing diamond drill program in Chile.

The Toronto-based mineral exploration company has received assay results from 10 drill holes at its recently-acquired Salvadora Copper Project.

Copper mineralization has been intersected in all drill holes, including significant intervals grading more than one percent copper.

Drill holes are located within two areas of the project and mineralization in both areas remains open.

Results so far have confirmed the discovery of a significant copper sulphide mineralized zone west of outcropping copper oxide mineralization.

The sulphide mineralization is less than 70 metres below surface on average and remains open to the north, south and west as well as at depth.

The La Salvadora Iron Oxide Copper-Gold Project is located in the vicinity of the large Manto Verde and Santo Domingo IOCG deposits.

“These are excellent results from the initial scout drilling program for the Project. Copper mineralization at shallow depths occurs in two areas more than one kilometre apart. Geological work by our field crews indicate that it is possible that the southern zone represents a fault offset to the west of the northern area and its possible mineralization may be continuous between the two areas. There is an extensive copper mineralized system here that extends for well over a kilometre,” said Nobel CEO David Gower.

Nobel Resources is up 13.6 percent, trading at $0.22 at 11:19 a.m. ET.
