Patriot One Technologies (PAT) has enhanced its video recognition software for weapons and threat detection in crowds.

Patriot One’s VRS is an AI-based video analytics solution that enables businesses, schools and other organizations to protect employees, students, customers and assets.

With the ability to accurately detect weapons and disturbances up to 150 feet away, it improves security and efficiency for organizations that host the general public.

Key enhancements to VRS include:

  • High Fidelity Object Recognition: The system accurately detects guns while automatically distinguishing them from umbrellas, phones or other innocuous items
  • People Counting: This feature provides insights into line formation, foot traffic and overall crowd size, which facilitate COVID-19, staffing and disturbance-related decisions

VRS is compatible with any IP-based video surveillance system.

Peter Evans, CEO of Patriot One, commented,

“False positives are a huge problem with other AI-based video analysis systems, which is why their alerts need to be reviewed and validated by humans before any action can be taken. VRS automatically validates alerts through multiple camera sources and a combination of AI analytic engines, so security staff can be correctly notified and briefed in real-time before a weapons incident or other type of disturbance arises.”

Patriot One Technologies makes unobtrusive AI-driven weapons and threat-detection systems.

Patriot One Technologies (PAT) is up by 3.19 per cent and is currently trading at $0.485 per share as of 12:45 pm ET.
