Puma Exploration (TSXV:PUMA) has reported results from seven holes drilled at its Williams Brook Gold Project in New Brunswick.

In a news release, the mineral exploration company stated that hole WB23-139 intersected two high high-grade gold intervals of 37.40 g/t gold over 2.50 metres and 21.66 g/t gold over 2.55 metres.

The Moose area of the property also shows consistent gold mineralization at surface, with hole WB23-136 grading 30.90 metres of 1.10 g/t gold.

“Our 2023 drilling continues to deliver robust gold results and highlights the potential scale ad calibre of the Williams Brook Gold Project,” Marcel Robillard, CEO of Puma Exploration, said in a statement. “All drill holes reported successfully intersected the quartz-bearing structures and new gold mineralization.”

Puma’s flagship Williams Brook Gold Project comprises four properties covering more than 60,000 hectares in Northern New Brunswick.

The land package is near the Rocky Brook Millstream Fault, a major regional structure formed during the Appalachian Orogeny and a significant control for gold deposition in the region.

Puma Exploration has made multiple gold discoveries at the Williams Brook Gold Project since 2021 and believes the property hosts an extensive orogenic/epithermal gold system.

Puma Exploration has a long history in Northern New Brunswick, having worked on regional projects for over 15 years.

Shares of Puma Exploration are up 4.17 per cent to C$0.12 as of 10:17 am ET.
