QuestEx (QEX) has sampled 51.7 g/t gold and defined a new target at Black Bluff on its KSP Property in B.C.

The findings stem from a summer 2021 reconnaissance prospecting and geophysical campaign.

Black Bluff contains numerous domains of outcropping mineralization defined by over 500 anomalous to high-grade rock samples from base and precious metal-bearing skarns, high-grade gold-silver-copper quartz vein breccias, and quartz-magnetite vein stockwork occurrences.

The main Black Bluff showing is located within a 1 km x 1 km copper-gold-zinc-molybdenum in-soil anomaly.

Geophysical results

A 3.8 km IP survey identified a primary target outlined by a 1,100 metre greater than 24 mV/V chargeability anomaly underlying the main Black Bluff mineral showing.

The chargeability anomaly is coincident with a strong magnetic response in a 2007 airborne magnetic survey and contains moderate to strong quartz-sericite-pyrite alteration and quartz-magnetite veining.

The company interprets these characteristics as expressions of a broad porphyry copper-gold system.

Prospecting results

QuestEx collected 22 samples comprised of three-channel samples, nine chip samples and ten grab samples. It discovered widespread high-grade mineralization with average grades coming in at 2.7 g/t gold, 68 g/t silver, 2.5 per cent copper and 0.99 per cent zinc.

It also collected a significant cluster of samples from a new exposure at the Josh Showing. One channel sample graded 51.7 g/t gold, 370 g/t silver and 3.47 per cent copper.

QuestEx is considering the high-grade gold and copper Black Bluff, Inel Gold, Sericite Ridge and Josh targets for its anticipated 2022 exploration program.

QuestEx President Tony Barresi sat down with Caroline Egan to discuss the results of the campaign.

QuestEx is exploring for gold and copper with a focus on the Golden Triangle and Toodoggone areas of B.C.

QuestEx (QEX) is unchanged trading at $0.83 per share as of 11:33 am EST.
