Rock Tech Lithium (TSXV:RCK) signed a deal with Siemens Canada to develop a digital twin for and advance the ongoing definitive feasibility study (DFS) for the former’s Red Rock lithium converter in Ontario.
The deal, following a memorandum of understanding signed in March 2026, involves the creation of a digital twin or virtual model, informed by physics, of the proposed plant from feasibility to end of life, which will serve to guide Rock Tech’s design decisions before putting capital to work.

Siemens will also support the project in the areas of process control, instrumentation and automation architecture, with Rock Tech expecting to deliver the DFS by mid-December 2026.
Red Rock will be designed to produce up to 32,000 tons of lithium carbonate equivalent per year, complementing the company’s flagship converter in Guben, Germany, whose planned output of 24,000 tons of lithium hydroxide per year is enough to power 500,000 electric vehicles.
According to Tuesday’s news release, the companies may extend their collaboration into additional Siemens products and services, as well as other G7 countries.
