Serve Robotics (NASDAQ:SERV), an autonomous delivery company, is expanding its services into Fort Lauderdale, complementing existing operations in Miami, strengthening its presence in one of the United States’ fastest-growing delivery markets.

Uber Eats (NYSE:UBER) customers in the Downtown and Las Olas Boulevard neighborhoods can now have their food orders delivered by Serve’s AI-powered sidewalk robots. The option is not only more sustainable than traditional drivers, as per data from Serve’s investor presentation for November 2025, it’s also more reliable and cost-efficient, making it a win-win for customers and restaurants.

The news follows discussions with local partners, businesses and city stakeholders to align the expansion with Fort Lauderdale’s goals of innovation, mobility and sustainability, diligently advancing Serve’s plan to deploy 2,000 delivery robots across the US by year-end in partnership with Uber Eats, having completed successful rollouts in Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, Dallas–Fort Worth and Atlanta to date.

Serve has posted monster revenue growth since inception, growing from US$107,820 in 2022 to US$1.944 million over the trailing twelve months, though profitability has not followed suit, with operations posting escalating annual net losses, most recently highlighted by a US$39.1 million loss in 2024, making the company’s growth story one to watch for improving fundamentals.

Management commentary

“South Florida has proven to be an incredible market for autonomous delivery,” Dr. Ali Kashani, co-founder and chief executive officer of Serve Robotics, said in Friday’s news release. “Building on our success in Miami, the expansion to Fort Lauderdale allows us to serve more communities, support more restaurant partners and continue scaling our low-emissions delivery network across the region.”

“We’re excited to expand autonomous delivery operations in South Florida with Serve,” added Aaron Emrich, global head of autonomous delivery at Uber Eats. “Fort Lauderdale’s vibrant restaurant scene and tech-forward community make it an ideal market to deepen our collaboration and bring more innovative delivery options to customers.”
