A defence technology company focused on positioning and navigation in GPS-denied environments, has completed a three-week customer tour across Poland and Ukraine.

SPARC AI (CSE:SPAI) is demonstrating its Overwatch technology in some of the world’s most challenging electronic warfare conditions and expanding engagement opportunities with multiple drone manufacturers.

The tour followed SPARC AI’s participation in the International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO) in Kielce, Poland, where the company officially launched Overwatch Patrol, a dismounted positioning solution designed to provide accurate location information without relying on GPS signals.

This article is a journalistic opinion piece that has been written based on independent research. It is intended to inform investors and should not be taken as a recommendation or financial advice.

The first phase of the tour featured a series of private demonstrations attended by more than a dozen drone original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and operators. During these events, SPARC AI showcased its Overwatch Positioning Network and introduced Overwatch Intelligence, a premium intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) module designed for operations in GPS-denied environments.

Overwatch Intelligence enables operators to transform drone imagery into actionable geospatial intelligence without requiring GPS on the aircraft. Using live or recorded video feeds, users can simply click on any pixel within an image and obtain the geographic coordinates of a target, allowing for rapid target identification and location even when satellite navigation systems are unavailable.

Following the private demonstrations, SPARC AI conducted a series of live tests at military training ranges across Ukraine with several drone manufacturers. The team then moved east to a location approximately 17 kilometres from the front line, where electronic warfare activity and GPS disruption are common.

At the frontline testing location, Overwatch was integrated into a large quadcopter and operated in an actively GPS-jammed environment. According to the company, multiple successful flights were completed, with the system accurately determining aircraft position and generating target coordinates without relying on satellite navigation.

In one notable demonstration mentioned in the news release, the drone identified and recorded the precise position of a pole located more than 600 metres away. The location was generated without GPS, without a laser rangefinder and without any additional hardware installed on the aircraft, highlighting the technology’s ability to provide targeting data using existing onboard systems.

The trials also assessed the performance and responsiveness of the Overwatch Positioning Network under battlefield conditions. Telemetry data transmitted from the drone was processed by the network, with latitude and longitude coordinates reportedly returned within milliseconds. The company said the results validated Overwatch’s ability to deliver positioning services in contested environments without requiring software or computing resources on the aircraft itself. SPARC AI also emphasized that no telemetry or position data is stored by the platform.

The newly launched Overwatch Patrol was also tested during the tour. In one demonstration conducted under GPS interference, a device relying on satellite navigation displayed a location several kilometres from the user’s actual position. Overwatch Patrol, operating without GPS or additional hardware, correctly identified the user’s location, demonstrating the system’s potential utility for dismounted personnel operating in electronically contested environments.

Ukraine has emerged as a critical proving ground for drone and electronic warfare technologies due to the extensive use of GPS jamming and signal disruption on the battlefield. SPARC AI said the deployment provided an opportunity to demonstrate Overwatch’s capabilities directly to operators and manufacturers who routinely conduct missions under these challenging conditions.

The Ukraine demonstrations followed earlier testing in a Western-aligned partner nation in the Middle East, where Overwatch was evaluated under similar GPS-denied conditions. During those trials, the system successfully determined an aircraft’s position without satellite navigation and generated target coordinates through the Overwatch Positioning Network. According to the company, that same “self-locate to target-locate” workflow was later replicated during the Ukraine deployments.

As a result of the successful demonstrations, SPARC AI said it is now engaged with several drone OEMs regarding both existing and new opportunities. Discussions include expanding Overwatch’s capabilities beyond quadcopters to support unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) and fixed-wing aircraft platforms.

The company also revealed it is pursuing a NATO Stock Number (NSN) for Overwatch. Obtaining an NSN would allow the system to be catalogued within NATO and allied defence procurement networks, potentially streamlining acquisition by military organizations and government agencies.

With successful demonstrations completed in both the Middle East and Ukraine, SPARC AI believes Overwatch has now been validated in some of the most demanding GPS-denied operating environments currently available.
