Surge Battery Metals (NILI) has confirmed the presence of lithium from the results of a 50-site sampling program at the Nevada North Project in Nevada.

The 50 samples were taken from the southeastern part of the property, where 13 samples returned lithium values of 500 parts per million or greater. These samples confirmed the presence of lithium-bearing claystone in the southernmost drill hole, NN2208.

Greg Reimer, President and CEO of Surge Battery Metals, stated,

“We are incorporating this new data into our analysis and look forward to announcing details of our next drill program to follow up and expand on our successful 2022 maiden program.”

In the full dataset, 257 sites returned lithium values of 500 parts per million or more, with 129 sites showing 1,000 parts per million lithium or more.

Additional recently announced drill results supported the potential for a lithium discovery at the Nevada North Project. The maiden drilling program consisted of eight widely spaced drill holes and identified strong lithium values of up to 5950 parts per million. To date, the mineralization has a strike length of approximately 1,620 metres.

Surge Battery Metals Inc. (NILI) is down 4.25 per cent, trading at $0.22 per share as of 2:16 p.m. EST.
