Thunder Gold (TSXV:TGOL) uncovered a new gold zone at surface within its Tower Mountain property 50 kilometres west of Thunder Bay, Ontario.

The supporting drill core assay results are the best the property has yielded in half a century.

At the time of writing on Tuesday, the price of gold sat at US$2,664.30 per ounce, up from US$2,660.30 in our December 18 update, according to data from The Globe and Mail.

The metal’s 2024 return was its best since 2010, with an increasing number of investors flocking to the metal to hedge against inflation and geopolitical uncertainty.
