Surveying work has begun on K9 Gold’s (KNC) Stony Lake Project in Central Newfoundland.

Simcoe Geoscience is overseeing the work across approximately 60 km of Wireless Time Domain Induced Polarization using Simcoe’s Alpha IP system.

The survey, which will cover the Jumper’s Pond and Moonlight grids, will provide data for detailed planning of a 5000 m drill program scheduled for Summer 2021.

The Stony Lake project lies within the Cape Ray/Valentine Lake structural trend in Central Newfoundland. The project covers 13,625 hectares and 27 kilometres of favourable trend.

The property hosts widespread low grade mineralization (up to 4 g/t Au) within the Botwood Formation and high grade veins (4 g/t Au) in the basement rocks below the Botwood.

Jeff Poloni, K9’s CEO, stated,

“This IP survey is a vital step in the further refinement of our exploration model for the property. The data collected will enhance our ability to fine tune drill targeting for these two high priority areas, as well as assist in the effective development of targets on a property-wide scale.”

District Copper acquired Stony Lake by an option agreement whereby K9 can earn up to a 100% interest in the project.

K9 Gold is engaged in the business of identification, acquisition and exploration of mineral interests.

K9 Gold (KNC) is trading flat at C$0.30 per share as of 2:21 pm EST.
