Gatekeeper (GSI) will upgrade a Florida school district’s school bus fleet with its latest offerings.

Additions for the existing client include mobile data collectors, 360 Surround Vision systems and interior video.

Revenue for the contract totals C$1.9 million.

The company’s 360 Surround Vision System provides a surround view of a school bus on a specialized rear-view mirror, allowing the driver to monitor school children anywhere around the vehicle. According to Doug Dyment, Gatekeeper’s President and CEO, the system is attracting notable interest from customers.

Gatekeeper Systems offers intelligent video and data solutions to provide a safer transportation environment for children, passengers and public safety personnel.

Since its inception, the company has installed approximately 40,000 intelligent mobile data collectors and 100,000 video devices on school buses across 3,500 school districts.

Gatekeeper (GSI) opened with a loss of 2.17 per cent, trading at $0.225 per share.
