Sorrento Resources (SRS) signed a contract to engage Longford Exploration Services to perform exploration work on the Wing Pond Project.

The Wing Pond Project is around 40 kilometres east-northeast of Gander, Newfoundland and covers 11,550 hectares

The work program in Newfoundland will consist of two phases, and it will build upon the high-resolution airborne magnetic survey flown by Sorrento in 2022.

Wing Pond Phase 1

As for the Phase 1 part of the program, included is data compilation, remote sensing, and a lithostructural interpretation.

This will give high-level data sets for the property’s breadth and help identify prospective structures and/or areas of alteration.

Wing Pond Phase 2

Phase 2 will involve field reconnaissance exploration and prospecting, field mapping, rock and soil sampling, and geochemical analysis.

According to the company, Phase 1 is expected to start immediately and may take around one to two months.

“The engagement of the Longford Exploration team and the Phase 1 work will allow us to be ready for the start of the field season with targets generated to follow up on with prospecting, geochemical sampling, and grab sampling,” stated Brayden R. Sutton, CEO.

The Wing Project is accessible by road from the town of Gander via a network of forestry service trails and ATV/snowmobile routes established across the property.

Sorrento Resources is engaged in acquiring, exploring and developing mineral property assets in Canada.

Sorrento Resources (SRS) is trading at C$0.30 at 11:27 am EDT.
