Humanoid Global Holdings (CSE:ROBO), a robotics and AI specialist, announced that portfolio company Cartwheel Robotics is on track to debut a full-body walking prototype of its Yogi humanoid robot at the Humanoid Summit in California in December 2025.

The Yogi is an embodied AI platform designed to “move naturally, respond intuitively and bring a lifelike, approachable presence to everyday environments,” as per Thursday’s news release.

The robot comes equipped with a proprietary full-stack humanoid platform integrating custom software, hardware, AI models and motion systems, and is built using medical-grade silicon, high-torque actuators and a modular battery system to maximize safety and reliability.

Looking ahead, Cartwheel is pursuing scaled testing and development of the robot by expanding operations into Reno, Nevada, where it has broken ground on its Oddie facility, which is slated to be finalized by January 2026.

Cartwheel is also in pilot discussions with a top North American medical institution to explore the Yogi’s healthcare applications, and is actively evaluating numerous letters of interest from North American universities for potential research collaborations, with eyes on staking its share of a multi-billion-dollar humanoid robot market expected to grow exponentially over the next decade.

Management commentary

“Cartwheel Robotics is developing humanoids designed for genuine human connection,” Shahab Samimi, chief executive officer of Humanoid Global, said in a statement. “By emphasizing trust, functionality and usability, they’re helping advance the field from mechanical experimentation towards practical human interaction. With a team that has contributed to several generations of humanoid systems, we believe that Cartwheel Robotics is well-positioned to help shape the next generation – bringing robotics into homes, workplaces and entertainment.”

“We believe the best way to bring humanoid technology into everyday life is by building robots that move, respond and connect in a genuinely human way,” added Scott LaValley, CEO of Cartwheel Robotics. “Yogi is being developed not only as a companion but also as a capable assistant for light tasks in homes and workplaces, designed to remain intuitive, approachable and reliable. This approach supports broader adoption and reflects our goal of creating humanoid AI that enhances how people live, work and care for one another.”
