Common shares of New Found Gold (TSXV: NFG; NYSE American: NFGC) will begin trading on the TSX at the market open on August 26, 2026, under the symbol “NFGC”.

The Newfoundland and Labrador-based explorer, developer and producer is advancing a pair of wholly-owned assets, including the Hammerdown project, on track for commercial production by year-end, beginning a 13-year mine life expected to yield more than 250,000 ounces of gold at low all-in sustaining costs of only US$2,429 per ounce.

This article is a journalistic opinion piece which has been written based on independent research. It is intended to inform investors and should not be taken as a recommendation or financial advice.

Hammerdown complements the company’s flagship Queensway project, nearing phase-I production, which hosts a 2-million-ounce resource, covers a more than 110-kilometre strike length, and delivered a 2025 preliminary economic assessment detailing 1.5 million ounces of production over a 15-year mine life at a base case of only US$2,500 per ounce of gold.

The milestone follows high-grade samples and infill drilling results published in July that further de-risk Queensway’s resource and path to near-term production.

Leadership commentary

“Our team have advanced New Found Gold from an early-stage explorer to an emerging gold producer in the last year-and-a-half to where we are now, graduating from the TSX Venture Exchange to the TSX,” Keith Boyle, Chief Executive Officer of New Found Gold, said in Tuesday’s news release. “This listing marks an important corporate milestone in the company’s evolution, underscoring how far we’ve come and the growth potential still ahead. Not only will the TSX listing increase our visibility within the global mining investment community, it will also open the doors to a broader investor base and demonstrate our credibility within the market, as we continue to execute on our long-term strategy of becoming Canada’s next mid-tier gold producer.”
