Intellistake Technologies (CSE:ISTK), a developer of decentralized AI and blockchain infrastructure, is partnering with Singapore-based aerospace company Orbit AI on its Orbital Cloud, the world’s first piece of AI-enabled space infrastructure, combining global connectivity, computing and blockchain verification.
The Orbital Cloud is designed to process and verify data directly in orbit, minimizing the need for physical data centres and reducing strain on the global grid, furthering Orbit’s goal of building a decentralized low-Earth orbit satellite network and bringing blockchain verified nodes to outer space.
Intellistake will provide validator and node infrastructure for the satellite system, serving as the front line for data authentication, transaction records and the coordination of AI workloads, with eyes on creating a blueprint for AI’s transparent transition beyond Earth in an orbital infrastructure market expected to grow from US$13.5 billion in 2024 to US$21.3 billion in 2029.
Orbit AI’s first launch under the partnership, Genesis-1, is slated for later this month, with a small satellite network to be deployed in 2026, followed by a full constellation rollout between 2028-2030.
Under the deal, Instellistake will invest US$500,000 into Orbit AI for a 1 per cent stake, with the option to invest up to US$10 million contingent on a mutual agreement before Genesis-2 launches in 2026.
Management commentary
“The Orbital Cloud depends on blockchain infrastructure that can function autonomously and securely in orbit,” Gus Liu, co-founder of Orbit AI, said in Monday’s news release. “Intellistake’s validator and verification technology completes the trust layer of our architecture, ensuring that data and AI processing in space remain transparent and independently verifiable. We are really excited to see where this partnership can take us.”
“This is a massive step forward,” added Jason Dussault, chief executive officer of Intellistake Technologies. “You don’t often get the chance to work on something that’s truly never been done before. With the talent and vision on both sides, there’s huge potential in what we can build together. Partnering with Orbit AI opens the door to an entirely new frontier— one where AI, data and trust can operate seamlessly in space, and where the groundwork we’re laying now could redefine how decentralized systems evolve for years to come.”
