Another week in the gold market has come and gone, leaving investors with a wealth of prospective news to analyze in search of their next stock to run through due diligence. To that end, we bring you four miners whose flagship projects are beginning to give investors a sense of their economics, shifting company valuations from speculation to data-driven thesis.

This article is a journalistic opinion piece which has been written based on independent research. It is intended to inform investors and should not be taken as a recommendation or financial advice.

We begin with Lake Victoria Gold (TSXV:LVG), whose maiden resource estimate at its Tembo project in Tanzania details 480,100 ounces of gold inferred and 99,700 ounces indicated across three near-surface deposits. The project is adjacent to Barrick’s Bulyanhulu mine, which has been in operation since 2001 and is expected to produce up to 160,000 ounces in 2026.

By the ounce

At the time of writing on Wednesday, the price of gold was US$4,407.41, according to data from ADVFN, up from US$4,211.745 per ounce in our August 5th report, mirroring a rebound in safe-haven demand as negotiations between Iran and the United States remain in a stalemate, holding the global energy industry hostage.

This week in gold

1911 Gold (TSXV:AUMB) posted a mineral resource estimate of its own, in this case an update to its Ogama-Rockland project in Manitoba, ramping it up to 712,000 ounces inferred, up from 337,000 ounces in the 2013 estimate, anchored by expansion potential within the current envelope, down dip and along strike.

White Gold (TSXV:WGO) took things one step further along the development lifecycle, delivering a preliminary economic assessment (PEA) for its White Gold project in the Yukon, outlining a 9.4-year operation expected to produce an average of 188,000 ounces of gold per year at a base case of US$3,600 per ounce. The project’s after-tax net present value (5 per cent discount rate) stands at C$1.91 billion, about four times the company’s market capitalization.

Looking ahead, we end with Galantas Gold (TSXV:GAL), who hired engineering and mine planning contractors for ongoing PEA work at its Andacollo project in Chile, keeping the report on track for Q4 2026 publication. Andacollo, a past-producing asset with low capital intensity, hosts an estimated 1.47 million ounces of gold indicated and 4.54 million ounces inferred.
