Siemens AG (OTC Pink:SIEGY) and Salesforce (NYSE:CRM) have expanded their strategic partnership, introducing new artificial intelligence capabilities designed to connect engineering data with customer-facing sales and service operations.

The companies said the integration combines Salesforce’s Agentforce platform with Siemens’ Teamcentre Service Lifecycle Management (SLM) software, enabling AI agents to access engineering-grade product information and deliver answers directly within sales, service, and customer workflows.

The initiative aims to help industrial companies accelerate service response times, improve quoting accuracy, and increase aftermarket sales opportunities by reducing the need for manual coordination between customer-facing employees and engineering teams.

Bringing engineering intelligence to front-line teams

Under the expanded partnership, Agentforce will connect with Teamcentre SLM to provide sales representatives, service technicians, and customers with access to technical product information during routine interactions.

According to the companies, service personnel will be able to identify appropriate spare parts for specific equipment before arriving on-site, while sales teams can verify that proposed upgrades are technically feasible and manufacturable. Customers will also be able to locate and order replacement parts without requiring support from engineering staff or service centres.

Siemens and Salesforce said the integration enables what they describe as an “agent-to-agent” AI model, where multiple AI systems work together across business functions. By linking engineering data with customer records and workflows, organizations can potentially reduce processes that previously took weeks to complete down to hours.

The companies noted that aftermarket services represent an attractive growth opportunity for manufacturers because of their higher margins and faster growth rates than new equipment sales.

AI-powered lead qualification at scale

Siemens has also deployed Agentforce within its own sales organization to automate inbound lead engagement and qualification.

The company said it previously received more than 2,500 unqualified leads each month and lacked an efficient way to determine which prospects warranted direct engagement from its sales force. Agentforce now works alongside Salesforce Sales Cloud to assess, qualify, and route opportunities across Siemens’ global sales organization of approximately 18,000 sellers.

The system uses two specialized AI agents. An engagement agent initiates outreach to inbound prospects, while a qualification agent gathers additional information and evaluates sales readiness before forwarding leads to the appropriate sales representative.

Salesforce said the platform uses CRM data to personalize communications and capture information such as purchasing budgets and implementation timelines during the qualification process.

Siemens reported that the deployment now enables engagement with 100% of inbound leads across 132 countries.

Focus on partner and supplier onboarding

Beyond sales and service functions, Siemens plans to extend AI automation into partner and supplier onboarding processes.

The company said a future AI sales development representative, named Piper, will engage prospective distribution partners, create tailored presentations, and schedule meetings with partner account managers.

Once a partner agreement is completed, additional automation tools are expected to manage onboarding activities. Slackbot will coordinate tasks such as certification reviews, financial assessments, and risk evaluations, while Agentforce Operations, powered by Regrello, will automate final onboarding processes within SAP environments.

Siemens said the goal is to reduce onboarding timelines from several weeks to just a few days through end-to-end workflow orchestration.

Leadership commentary

“Siemens and Salesforce are showing what it means to become an agentic enterprise at industrial scale,” Salesforce’s chair and CEO, Marc Benioff, said in a news release. “We’re bringing the best of our technology, expertise, and industry knowledge together to reinvent how work gets done and how customers are served. This is a blueprint for the AI era: deep collaboration that goes beyond connecting technology to accelerate transformation, unlock new growth, and create entirely new value for customers.”

“For decades, the expert knowledge of the engineer has been separate from the person servicing the machine in the field. We are closing an important gap,” Siemens’ president and CEO, Roland Busch, added. “By embedding our digital twin into the commercial workflow, we are putting a virtual engineer in the hands of service technicians and salespersons. Siemens brings industrial AI, Salesforce enterprise AI. Together, they create a critical building block for an industrial AI operating system that connects engineering, operations and business.”

What’s the deal for investors?

For investors, the announcement highlights two key trends shaping the industrial software and enterprise AI markets: the growing use of AI agents to automate knowledge-intensive tasks and the increasing integration of operational technology data with customer relationship management platforms.

For Salesforce, the partnership provides another large-scale enterprise deployment of Agentforce, reinforcing the company’s efforts to position AI agents as a core component of its CRM ecosystem. For Siemens, the initiative supports its broader digitalization strategy by extending the value of engineering and product lifecycle management data into commercial and service operations.

While neither company disclosed financial terms or revenue expectations related to the expanded collaboration, the partnership underscores growing demand among manufacturers for AI tools capable of streamlining sales, service, and operational workflows while improving customer engagement and aftermarket revenue generation.
