  • The foundation of stock market growth: Long-term shareholder value depends on converting operational, financial or external catalysts into solid fundamentals and hard-dollar cash flows, a principle especially vital for micro-cap stocks.
  • Evolve Royalties (CSE:EVR): The C$142.15 million mining royalty company backs up its value with cash generation, robust credit capacity for growth and long-term upside in exploration-stage projects.
  • Tenet Fintech Group (CSE:PKK): The C$64.93 million AI and fintech company serving SMEs and capital markets in China recently achieved profitability and is targeting massive revenue expansion driven by supply chain services, new data platforms and international growth.

The question, why do stocks go up?, is no mystery. A stock price, the present estimate of expected future cash flows, will fall if investors disapprove of company progress and rise if they find it value-added. The main catalysts behind this movement can be dwindled down to three:

  • Operational developments, such as a new partnership, product or service.
  • Financial developments, such as lower debt and higher revenue and earnings.
  • Exogenous developments, such as a war or changes in interest rates.

Truth be told, though, a company can only release new products and services for so long before investors, especially those locked in for the long term, demand to see the money these innovations are meant to be earning, keen to replace hope with hard dollars on which to justify shareholder value.

This article is disseminated in partnership with micro-cap stocks Evolve Royalties Ltd. and Tenet Fintech Group Inc. It is intended to inform investors and should not be taken as a recommendation or financial advice.

This is an especially important lesson to practice in the realm of micro-cap stocks, whose potential for exponential returns, should they succeed at growing into mid-cap and large-cap status, must be grounded in solid fundamentals to have a chance at materializing.

With money on my mind, I’ll show you a pair of micro-cap stocks whose underlying companies are on track to earn an increasing amount of it, in so doing demonstrating to their investors that they’re committed to efficient, long-term growth.
