Avalon Advanced Materials (AVL) has released its quarterly financial results and an update on its current operations.

The company currently has four active projects: the Lilypad Cesium-Tantalum Project, Separation Rapids Lithium Project, Cargill closed phosphate mine site, and the East Kemptville closed tin mine site.

An exploration program commenced at the Lilypad Project in June 2021 to prepare for detailed mapping and geochemical sampling. The company is planning a drill program at the property for later this year.

Once the program at Lilypad is complete, Avalon plans to start exploring the western portion of the Separation Rapids Lithium Project. Currently, the company is working with academic institutions to research new applications for rare earth elements.

The company plans to establish a lithium refinery in Thunder Bay following the successful engagement of customers looking for new supply sources.

With considerable investor interest in financing the acquisition of the Cargill minesite, the company is working on gathering the required government approvals to mine for rare and critical earth elements.

Finally, the company has made progress in its work with the Government of Nova Scotia to secure access to the East Kemptville minesite.

East Kemptville currently hosts 26 million tonnes of mine waste containing rare earth elements such as indium, gallium, germanium, and lithium as well as tin, copper and zinc.

Avalon Advanced Materials Inc. is a Canadian mineral development company specializing in sustainably produced materials for clean technology.

The company’s financial statements for the quarter are available on the company website.

Avalon Advanced Materials Inc. (AVL) is down 8.33 per cent, trading at $0.11 per share as of 10:57 am ET.
