Battery Mineral Resources Corp. (BMR) has received encouraging reconnaissance rock sampling results from the Gowganda East Block.

The Gowganda Project is located within the historic Gowganda mining camp, a silver-cobalt district in northeastern Ontario, and consists of over 1,100 claims over 226 square kilometres.

The company has conducted several reconnaissance prospecting, rock sampling and geological mapping programs at the Gowganda East Block in Chown, Haultain, Lawson, and Nicol townships.

The most recent program concentrated on field checking 40 prospects to assess each site’s potential to host significant cobalt-silver mineralization.

In total, 172 rock grab samples were collected during the program, yielding up to 6.6 per cent cobalt, 1,675 g/t silver, 2.9 per cent nickel, and 7.7 per cent copper. Samples from two workings also yielded up to 1.29 g/t gold.

The company also completed grab sampling from the Bald Rock, Chapelle, and Babs Lake prospects, where further mapping and sampling is planned.

Martin Kostuik, CEO of Battery Mineral Resources, commented on the results.

“These preliminary results give us confidence that Gowganda East can potentially host significant new cobalt-silver vein discoveries,” he said.

“We look forward to drilling the Bald Rock target and completing follow-up assessments of the Babs Lake, Chapelle, and other targets based on these initial high-grade results.”

Battery Mineral Resources is a multi-commodity resource company that holds resource interests including cobalt, lithium, and graphite properties.

Battery Mineral Resources Corp. (BMR) is down 8.86 per cent on the day, trading at $0.72 per share as of 3:15 pm ET.
