Beauce Gold Fields (BGF) shares the results of the soil sampling survey performed at the Bergeron section of the Mégantic property in Quebec.

Between October and December 2020, the company collected 84 soil samples for gold and silver plus base metals.

The samples were built off previous exploration completed by Noranda Mines and Exploration between 1993 and 1995, which found zinc, copper, lead, and silver but did not assay for gold.

The objective of the recently completed survey was to confirm past anomalous values and to assay for new gold values.

The survey revealed an overburden gold anomaly along strike the Bella Fault line.

Patrick Levasseur, President and CEO of Beauce Gold Fields said,

“This gold anomaly, along with the Chesham 10 grams per ton sample announce last week, supports the potential of the Bella Fault line being another major gold bearing structure in Southern Quebec.”

Soil samples of the anomaly revealed 28 and 30 ppb Au on two lines.

Mr. Levasseur added,

“The Mégantic property holds a similar geological model to the company’s flagship Saint-Simon-les-Mines Beauce Gold property whereby a major geological fault line follows along strike the historical placer gold deposit. We look forward to investigating these anomalies further later this summer.”

The Mégantic property extends southwest to the USA border of New Hampshire and to the northeast to Lac Mégantic and is located at the foot of the granite intrusion of Mont Mégantic.

Beauce Gold Fields is a gold exploration company focused on placer to hard rock exploration in the Beauce region of Southern Quebec.

Beauce Gold Fields (BGF) is up 12.20 per cent and is trading at $0.23 per share as of 10:16 am ET.
