Dune Oil Corp. (CSE: DUNE) (OTCQB: DUNXF) (FSE: Z621) has appointed Allan Albertson and Dean Casorso as technical advisors to support planning and evaluation of potential well re-entry, completion and production operations on its M47 oil exploration block in southeastern Türkiye.

The company said the advisory team’s initial focus will be technical evaluation and planning for potential re-entry and completion programs for the Çetinkaya-1 (C-1) and Çetinkaya-2 (C-2) wells, including work to evaluate reservoir deliverability, water management strategies and the potential for commercial production.

According to the release, the C-1 well was drilled in 2025 and encountered light crude oil with gravity of 32.4° API. Dune also said previous drilling operations encountered significant lost circulation, which it described as highlighting technical challenges associated with drilling and completing naturally fractured carbonate formations.

Dune said the advisors will help assess well conditions, review available drilling and geological information, evaluate drilling and completion methods, and develop recommendations intended to preserve reservoir productivity while managing operational risks and costs.

The company outlined initial technical priorities that are expected to include reviewing the C-1 and C-2 wellbores for potential re-entry, deepening and completion options; evaluating drilling-fluid and lost-circulation strategies aimed at limiting formation damage; assessing well-testing, stimulation and production strategies; and supporting operational planning, including contractor evaluations, operating procedures and preliminary cost estimates.

Albertson is described as having 34 years of international petroleum engineering and operational experience across drilling, completions, production engineering, reservoir characterization and field development. Casorso is described as having nearly 30 years of oil and gas experience spanning drilling and completion operations, project execution, corporate management and international petroleum development.

Dune said it holds a 29% working interest in the M47 oil exploration block (C3 and C4 licences) in the Cudi-Gabar petroleum province of southeastern Türkiye, and that the advisors’ recommendations will support evaluation of potential well operations and future development planning in coordination with local operating partners. The release also cautioned that proposed well operations are subject to risks and uncertainties and that there can be no assurance a proposed well operation will proceed, succeed or result in commercial production.
